Start at the Markbachjoch cable car.
Right after the church in Niederau on the right hand side is the Markbachjoch cable car. Take the cable car to the top and turn right when you get out. The walking path nr. 2 bears left and leads to the Cheese Alm, a beautiful spot to take refreshments.Take a right uphill until you come to the little chapel with life size figures depicting the local legend of Halsgatterl. From here continue downhill to the Norderberg Alm (open daily in July & August otherwise closed Mondays) and then on the route 23 back to the gondola top station.
