The 2nd stage of the Bergsagen long-distance hiking trail in the Hall-Wattens region leads us from Wattens past Volderwildbad into the rustic Voldertal to the Voldertal hut. Upon arrival at the Voldertal hut, you climb over alpine terrain to the middle station of the Glungezer cable car and from here through shaded forest, always with the Glungezer at your back, downhill to Tulfes. Our destination for today’s stage.
The length of the route should not be underestimated.
The 2nd day of our long-distance hike begins well rested in Wattens.
You follow the Vögelsbergweg to the first hairpin bend and then continue straight ahead. Via a section of the historic circular hiking trail you reach above Volders and Friedberg Castle onto the hiking trail into the Voldertal. Over Großvolderbergstraße into Kirchsteig and via Unterberg and Grubertalstraße further to Volderwildbad. From here again on a forest road.
From there you continue straight along the forest road to the "Lambichler Marterl". There turn left to the Voldertal hut. Up past Nagelaste and on to the middle station of the Glungezer cable car. From there you hike downhill to Tulfes, the destination of the second stage.
