Hike from Rinnen to the Thaneller summit
The start is at the Hotel Thaneller / chapel in Rinnen. First on the sidewalk towards Berwang. Then turn left onto the Thaneller (yellow sign). This path runs through numerous serpentines through the forest "Bannwald" to Kampeleplatz. Continiue the trail. Further over rocky terrain and numerous serpentines to the summit of the Thaneller 2.343m.
Descent options:
- the same way back to Rinnen
- the same way back and at the crossing (at the Kampeleplatz) turn left to Berwang
- Descent via the Werner Rietzler trail to Heiterwang (via ferrata - only for experienced hikers!). The climb is more suitable for the ascent in the opposite direction.
