Arrival by public transport
By bus: Bus connection from Ellmau / Kitzbühel / St. Johann i.T. / Lofer and within the PillerseeTal region. Bus stop Fieberbrunn Aubad. Walking time to the starting point approx. 1h. Bus free of charge with guest card.
Most of all this tour requires physical condition, but at the end a wonderful panoramic view awaits the hikers. Please note: Do take enough food and drinks with you because there is no inn or restaurant along the track.
From Gasthof Auwirt along the Gebraweg to the junction to Hochkogel and take the street to the farm house "Rohr". There the ascent to the Karstein begins. Continue to the upper pastures of the Edenhausalm, the further on via the northeast crest to the peak. Retourn via the same route.

Parking for a few cars at the Rohr farm. Alternative: park at the Aubad Fieberbrunn and allow 1h walking time to the starting point.
