Description

In six day stages, this high-alpine circular hike leads along the mountain ridges of the eastern Zillertal Alps and the western Venediger group through the border area of the states of Tyrol, Salzburg and South Tyrol. On this (still) relatively unknown tour, mountain hikers also get to know several interesting protected areas.
Some stages are manageable, so that there is enough time for observations on the way, to linger and look at the beautiful nature or just relax after arriving at the hut. There are also some beautiful peaks along the way that are well suited for a side tour.

Like most high mountain tours, the three-country tour is demanding, it requires experience, good endurance, surefootedness and appropriate equipment. But let go of everyday life and in full concentration on the elementary things, this scenic, multifaceted mountain tour becomes an unforgettable experience.

Depending on the conditions, the huts are open from mid-June to late September. But even in midsummer, a supposedly easy mountain tour can become a challenge due to snowfall or bursting cold temperatures. Anyone who wants to tackle the tour should get precise information about the weather conditions in advance and, of course, from the hut innkeepers.
