Mountain railway Karwendelseilbahn

The Karwendelseilbahn cable car transports guests from the centre of Pertisau up onto the Zwölferkopf mountain. The top of the cable car is the ideal starting point for hikes, summit ascents and mountainbike rides. Paragliders are also drawn to this pretty area thanks to the excellent thermals. Beginners will find plenty of paragliding centres offering courses and equipment hire. One of the best vantage points in the region is the large terrace of the Alpengasthof Karwendel, which can be reached quickly and easily via the Panorama-Bergbahn Karwendel cable car. The hut is known for its hearty Tirolean cuisine.
