The detachable gondola lift transports guests from the center of Pertisau right into the hiking area of the Zwölferkopf. The mountain station is an ideal starting point for hiking, mountain and mountain bike tours. The summit is also a popular launch site for paragliders. The sun terrace of the Alpengasthof Karwendel offers a fantastic panorama and delicious Tyrolean dishes.

We recommend because:

  • the view of Lake Achensee is hardly anywhere more beautiful than from the Zwölferkopf
  • young mountain visitors can learn a lot about the nature of the mountains on the alpine animal circular hiking trail
  • a tandem paragliding flight high above Lake Achensee promises a boost of happiness hormones
