Hikes through gorges are suitable for anyone who loves nature and adventure. Many gorges, such as Kundler Klamm or Tiefenbachklamm, have well-developed paths that are also ideal for families. However, some, such as the Radurschlklamm gorge, require surefootedness and fitness, which is why they are recommended for more experienced hikers.

The best time to visit is between spring and autumn, when the paths are free of snow and the watercourses are particularly impressive. After rainfall, gorges such as the Schnanner Gorge or the Rosengarten Gorge appear even more dramatic, as the water level rises and the current gains strength.

Gorges such as Gleirschklamm or Hölltalschlucht can be challenging due to slippery spots and narrow passages. It is important to be sure-footed and wear good footwear. You should also be prepared for the cool temperatures and high humidity that prevail in many gorges.
