Description

The Rofan cable car takes just five minutes to take winter sports enthusiasts from Maurach on the southern shore of Lake Achensee right into the heart of the Rofan mountains. The mountain station at 1,840 meters above sea level is the highest point of the small, family-friendly Rofan ski area. From there, the more experienced alpinists can set off on wonderful ski tours into the untouched mountain world. Those who prefer groomed slopes will find runs of all levels of difficulty, whether skiers or snowboarders. There is a black piste for professionals, while beginners can also master the long valley run on the beautiful sunny side of the mountain massif. There are beginners' areas in Maurach as well as at the mountain station, and toddlers can have fun in the Ski-Kinderland.
