The most beautiful swimming lakes for families

At some point during a family summer holiday, you and the kids have had enough of hiking, mountain biking etc. Then the time has come for Tirol's many swimming lakes. Alongside the largest and most famous ones, including the Achensee and Plansee, it is well worth exploring some of the smaller and lesser-known ones. Whether just for a quick dip on a hot summer's day or for a relaxing family day out, there's plenty of swimming, sliding, jumping, rafting and much more to look forward to – plus of course lazing around in the sun and taking in the amazing mountain views. These are our favourite swimming lakes for families.
