Arrival by public transport
Take the regional bus (line 4080 to Achenkirch, change to line 7801 to Steinberg) to the Gasthaus Waldhäusl in Steinberg (house no. 31). Get off at the "Steinberg a. R. Abzw. Waldhäusl" or "Steinberg a. R. Raika" stop.
The toboggan run in Steinberg, though short, winds idyllically through the forest. Afterwards, you can enjoy a cozy stop at the Waldhäusl inn.
At 800 metres long, the natural toboggan run in Steinberg am Rofan is quite short. The only thing that can happen is landing in a snowbank when you miss a turn. Parents can relax while the children sled down the mountain as often as they like. The easy-going ride allows plenty of time to enjoy the idyllic landscape.
The toboggan run starts at the Waldhäusl inn, where toboggans can be hired for a fee.
The run is floodlit in the evenings until around 22.00.

Turn off the Achensee main road (B181) in Achenkirch and follow the road towards Steinberg am Rofan. Continue on the L221 (Steinberg road) for about 9km until you reach the village of Steinberg am Rofan. Shortly after the village sign, take the first left turn towards Waldhäusl.
