The Würfelehütte toboggan run in the Virgental Valley in Osttirol is our classic choice—no lift, but a romantic mountain hut with on-site toboggan rentals and an illuminated toboggan run that’s open every evening.
If you are looking for sleighing in the Virgental Valley, the Würfelehütte is the right place for you. The 2.1-kilometre-long, illuminated toboggan run has been awarded the Tyrolean Natural Toboggan Run Seal of Quality. You can get there either on foot or by shuttle service (+43 664 53 28 139). At the top you stop for a bite to eat, let the innkeepers spoil you with Virgental regional dishes, ribs, toboggan snacks and homemade pastries, then take your rental toboggan back to the starting point.
