Moderately difficult winter hike on the Zeinis-Kops trail through one of the most picturesque winter landscapes in Paznaun with magnificent views of the peaks of the Silvretta group. The trail leads steadily uphill from Wirl through an open, snow-covered winter landscape to the idyllic Zeinis and Kops reservoirs, where panoramic views and alpine tranquillity dominate. Refreshments available in the ski area and in Wirl.
The area around the Zeinissee lake and Kops reservoirs is one of the most picturesque spots in Paznaun. Located on the border with Vorarlberg, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Silvretta group. Your hike starts in Wirl, near the St. Antonius Chapel, and steadily climbs along the old Zeinis road. After 7 kilometres, you’ll reach both reservoirs. There are places to stop for refreshments in the ski area and in Wirl. There is no bus connection for a shortcut.
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Wirl/Birkhahnbahn
