Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, wind, rain, snow and sun protection, a hat and gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first-aid kit, a mobile phone and possibly a map, as well as sufficient provisions on routes without places to stop, is necessary.
Start is the Kreuzkapelle Sautens (sports field). Then about 300 meters along the road towards Roppen. There the path turns right into the forest. Beautiful hike through the Forchet nature reserve to a beautiful viewpoint with a view of the Tschirgant. Circular hike back to the Kreuzkapelle.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can easily and quickly travel through the entire valley to your desired destination using public transportation or local taxi services! The car journey to the ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the ÖTZTAL branches south as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car takes visitors through the Inn Valley to the valley entrance and then along the Ötztal. In addition to the toll motorway, country roads can also be used.
