Description

From the starting point, a road leads northwestwards, which you follow until you reach a bridge on the right. Cross the small bridge and continue along the "Schütternsteig" until you reach a fork in the road, where you meet the Kreuzweg. Now follow the Kreuzweg to the Auffindungskappelle chapel and from there straight upwards in a northerly direction to the Waldraster Jöchl (1,878m). From the highest point with a cross, the path leads to a fence, which you follow north-eastwards until you reach another crossroads. Follow the Gleinsersteig trail until you reach the cross-country ski trail, then head east or south-east across the Gleinser Mähder pasture next to the cross-country ski trail. Cross the Seibachgraben and descend via the Schönangerwiesen meadows to the lowest point at the wayside cross. From there, the forest path leads upwards again. Cross the meadow or the toboggan run to return to the starting point at the Maria Waldrast monastery inn.
