Moderately difficult snowshoe hike to the Brunschkopf viewpoint
The route leads through open, unmarked terrain and is not groomed.
Good personal preparation and the right equipment are particularly important when snowshoeing. It is essential to check the current avalanche report before starting the tour. As the terrain is not signposted, we recommend downloading the GPX data for the route. The SOS EU-ALP app, which was developed for emergencies in the mountains, is also recommended.
Light and stable snowshoes, adapted to your body weight. Telescopic poles for better grip and more stability. This equipment can be hired from the many sports stores in the region.
We recommend several layers of clothing, warm gloves, a hat, waterproof jacket and trousers as well as winter hiking boots.
