Your hike begins at the information office in St. Johann in Tirol. Walk along Speckbacherstraße out of the town center in the direction of Oberndorf. In Apfeldorf, a small residential area with a few farms and the small baroque Fixlerkapelle chapel, a hiking trail soon branches off to the right. The path winds its way up through the enchanting, wintry forest and leads you repeatedly across open forest meadows, which offer beautiful views of the valley, the hilly Bichlach and the Wilder Kaiser. The tour finally ends at the Alpengasthof Hirschberg, where a well-earned rest awaits you. Let your gaze wander over the wide valley and the surrounding mountains - the majestic sight of the Wilder Kaiser in particular will make up for the somewhat challenging ascent. On the way back, you have a choice: you can either return the same way or take the Berglehen road back to the valley.
