We start our winter hike at the valley station of the Gondelbahn Hochbrixen in Brixen im Thale. For a short distance, we walk along the edge of the village road towards Westendorf until we reach the Brixen district of Hof, where we turn right and follow the signs towards Salvenberg. A wide, cleared mountain road leads us directly to the Jausenstation Oberkaslach, where we can not only strengthen ourselves with lovingly home-prepared delicacies from the region, but also enjoy a wonderful panorama over the entire Brixental.
