Description

The winter hiking trail starts at the tourist information office in Pfunds and leads towards Kobl to the junction Kobl/Wand. From there you follow the Kobler Weg and after about 60 metres reach a forest path with a beautiful view of Pfunds. Along the forest educational trail you pass a fountain with fresh spring water. In this area you can also see the lovingly designed miniature houses called “Mini Fundus”, built by local pensioners. The route continues past a Kneipp facility towards the Kajetansbrücke, where you cross the main road and follow the signs for the Via Claudia Augusta. Shortly before the bridge the path leads down to the Inn, where a marked forest trail follows the river to the Schalklhof. From there it is just over one kilometre to the historic border fortress Altfinstermünz.
