Description

The winter hiking trail around Niederthai starts at the car park Sennhof (next to the information office). From there, the signposted hiking trail leads along the cross-country ski trail for the first part and continues slightly upwards towards the district Ennebach. The path leads forwards across the white and winterly meadows to the Nordic Sports Arena. After a short break at the Ötztal Snowman (slide hill, children's snowball wall, loungers), we continue to the district Tellerboden. The hiking trail leads along the forest down to the ski lift Matau and back to the starting point of the circuit hike.

Getting here

  • Arrival by public transport

    Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or out local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination.     The following parking facilities are available in Niederthai:

    • Car park Sennhof | chargeable € 5,00 per day from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, more day ticket possible | The car park for people with handicap is free - please deposit your handicap ID apparent in your car. | Buses park for free
