Set within the lush green mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps, at the picturesque village of Kirchdorf on foot of rugged Wilder Kaiser Range, “Wilder Käser” Cheese Dairy creates fine-quality artisan cheeses. Join a guided tour of the 400-square meter, state-of-the-art showroom and maturing rooms and learn about every stage of the production of cheese, from milk to maturation. Each day, 1,200 liters of delicious free-range, grass-fed raw milk are made into cheese. We only source fresh raw milk from local farmers, allowing their herds to roam wide, rich Alpine pastures, sweetening their milk as they graze upon tender, naturally available meadow herbage. Film presentations detail the rich history of cheese making in the Kitzbühel Alps. The quaint “Jausnstüberl” Parlour on premises is where you can sit and enjoy our award-winning cheeses.
