All eyes in the mountain bike world will turn to Tirol in early October, as Crankworx, the world’s biggest gravity-fuelled mountain bike festival, descends on Innsbruck.
After making its debut in 2017, Crankworx Innsbruck will be back in 2020 with gravity-defying action and breathtaking tricks by the world’s top freestyle mountain bikers amidst the spectacular scenery of Muttereralm Park above Innsbruck. This year, Innsbruck is the only European stop of the Crankworx World Tour. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, Crankworx Innsbruck 2020 is a made for TV production without spectators on-site. Events like Downhill, Slopestyle, Speed & Style, Whip Off and Pump Track Challenge can be witnessed live on giant screens across Innsbruck and on www.redbull.tv.
Known as the “Super Bowl of freeride mountain biking”, Crankworx began in Whistler, Canada, in 2004. The 2020 Crankworx World Tour travelled to Rotorua, New Zealand in March, visits Innsbruck, Austria in October and culminates in its Canadian hometown of Whistler, BC.
