Barmer Haus

The Barmer Haus (1,380 metres) is a self-catering hut suitable for small and large groups. It is situated in the beautiful Defereggental Valley in East Tirol.

Central location, cooking facilities, recreation rooms with games, plenty of outdoor activities: these are just some of the many highlights at the Barmer Haus, an alpine hut in St. Jakob im Defereggental, East Tirol. It is a self-catering refuge suitable for groups both small and large. The hut is a good base camp for walking and hiking in the idyllic Defereggental Valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Further activities include mountain biking, cross-country skiing and alpine skiing. Hikes on the Panargenkamm are up to 3,000 metres above sea level. From the Barmer Haus it is just a few hours' walk to the Barmer Hütte (2,610 metres).
