The Achensee Museum World in Maurach brings together history, traditional craftsmanship, and Tirolean culture to offer visitors a fascinating experience.
Long-forgotten local customs are brought back to life in this museum village.
A special exhibition features paintings as well as embroidery and wood carvings made by local artists. Other highlights include Pepi’s Picture House and Grandma Annie’s Dollhouse, the Achenseebahn steam railway exhibition, and the Traktorium with vintage farm tractors, agricultural machinery, cars and motorbikes, and the new photography museum. It presents the history of photography in Tirol with historic cameras and photographic techniques from different periods.
The Achensee Museum World opens in winter. A highlight of the Advent season is the annual Museumsweihnacht on 8 December.

Take the regional bus (line 8336) to Maurach to the district Lärchenwiese and get off at the "Maurach a. A. Museumswelt" stop.
