Bergwacht Chapel in Kaiserbach Valley
In 1984, this chapel was built by the mountain rescue teams of St. Johann in Tirol, Kirchdorf and Going. The place of worship commemorates all mountaineers who died in the Kaiser Mountains. The names of all those who met their death in the "Kaiser" are immortalised on brass plaques on the walls. Candles, flowers and pictures adorn the place of worship at the foot of the north faces of the Wilder Kaiser in honour of the deceased. The locals often refer to this chapel as the chapel of the mountain dead.
