Bergwachtkapelle
Kaiserbachtal
6382 Kirchdorf in Tirol
In 1984, this chapel was built by the mountain rescue service St. Johann in Tirol, Kirchdorf, and Going.
The place of devotion commemorates all climbers who have met with accidents in the Kaiser Mountains. The names of all those who found death in the "Kaiser" are immortalized on brass plaques on the walls. Candles, flowers, and pictures adorn the house of God at the foot of the north faces of the Wilder Kaiser in honor of the deceased. This chapel is often referred to by the locals as the mountain cemetery chapel.
