Chapel Elsbethen

Description

The Elsbethen Chapel is located below Engelsburg Castle in Hopfgarten, in the municipality of Elsbethen.

The "Elsbethenkirchlein", as this chapel is also called, was built in 1494 by Barthlmä von Hamersbach. In the 18th century it was baroqueised and completely restored in 1972. The chapel belongs to the parish of Hopfgarten.

The little church is open during the day and can be visited.
