At the Edelbrennerei Kostenzer, aficionados of high-proof spirits can taste Austria’s first whisky. Franz Kostenzer’s “Whisky Alpin” has even made it into Jim Murray’s world-famous “Whisky Bible”. The expert distiller has also created a special “Gin Achensee”: Natural, with a flavour of spruce and fir needles. In addition, the distillery produces over 70 kinds of brandies, schnapps and liqueurs.
