Pertisau am Achensee

The Karwendel cable car operates all year round and takes visitors to the Zwölferkopf - an ideal destination for hiking, skiing and paragliding.

Description

The Karwendel cable car offers an easy way for visitors to see breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Achensee and the surrounding mountains. In just a few minutes the gondolas transport visitors up the Zwölferkopf mountain to an elevation of 1,480 metres. At the top, paragliders can be watched preparing for take-off, as they have chosen the mountain as their favourite starting point due to its special thermal. The quaint Bärenbadalm mountain hut is a half hour walk from the mountain station and offers many Tirolean delicacies. The summit of the 1,991 metre high Bärenkopf can be reached in two hours.
