Description

The Mathoi House (built around 1500 and remodelled several times up until the 19th century) now houses the Centre for History & Culture of the Silver Town of Schwaz, including the town archives and the town chronicle.

It comprises:

The ‘Irmgard’ Hall, named after the benefactor Irmgard Mayr
The ‘Wagner’ event room, featuring paintings by August J. Wagner
Town Archives: collection, cataloguing, digitisation and preservation of documents of cultural and historical significance, as well as their presentation through lectures, exhibitions and publications
