Description

In 1682, a chapel was built in Hochfilzen in honor of Our Lady of Loreto - until then, the residents of Hochfilzen had to go first to St. Adolari and later to St. Jakob or St. Ulrich to celebrate holy mass. This "Lauretian Chapel" was expanded, and on 28.8.1746 the new church could be consecrated. On 1.7.1891, the house of worship "Maria Schnee" was elevated to parish church. In 1922, the new church bells were consecrated, and in 1929, the interior of the church was repainted - further improvements to the cemetery and the wall followed in 1934 and 1937.
The former Baroque building was remodeled and expanded in 1960/65. The completely renovated house of worship in 1973 is still a well-visited Marian church today.

Catholic services: Saturday 7 p.m. and Sunday 8:30 a.m.
