Breakfast and Brunch on the mountain

If we could, we would do everything on the mountain. But let's start with breakfast! If you manage to get on your bike or hiking boots in the morning, you'll be rewarded with a sugar-sweet panorama and breakfast on these mountain pastures.

Half an hour's walk is still enough for even the hungriest of breakfast eaters to find a nice spot. For example, the Stöttlalm with its view over the Mieminger Plateau and a sumptuous alpine breakfast and hut brunch. Please book in advance!

From St. Johann, it is around an hour and a half's walk to the Bassgeiger Alm, where you are welcomed with "Bergfruahstuck" in summer. Ambitious hikers can then walk or pedal further up to the Kitzbüheler Horn.

On foot in an hour and a half or faster by mountain bike to the Aldranser Alm, which boasts a wonderful box seat over Innsbruck and a panoramic view of the Nordkette. Please book in advance for the alpine breakfast!

You can reach the Buchackeralm in the Kitzbühel Alps in an hour and a half on foot or alternatively by mountain bike. But you have to get up early, because the mountain breakfast is served daily until 10am.

After a leisurely 45 minutes from the Sattele (or even quicker by mountain bike), there is a rich breakfast buffet for early risers on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the summer months. Please book in advance!

More Information

Fresh salmon trout from the region, homemade sourdough bread baked daily and cheese and milk from the mountain pasture. This hearty breakfast at the BichlAlm is only a good hour's walk from the middle station (or, if we're honest, a ride on the chairlift).

It takes 45 minutes to cycle up to the Sonnenalm and just over an hour on foot. There is - of course - a large sun terrace with unrivalled views and an alpine brunch every Sunday.

The best way to get to the modern Umbrüggler Alm is to start hungry from the Hungerburg and reach your destination in under an hour. All the more time to fill your belly with the sumptuous brunch menu. If you go there by mountain bike, all you have to do is roll down (although sometimes this also applies to hikers).
