Description

The welcoming Sonnenalm (1,500 metres) is located high above Seefeld at the top of the Gschwandtkopf and as well as the unforgettable view from the sun terrace, you can enjoy some delicious traditional Tyrolean dishes there.

Skiers and ski tourers can warm themselves by the crackling fire in the restaurant during the cold winter months (December to April) and in summer (June to October), if you are feeling energetic, it’s possible to get to the Sonnenalm by (e)-bike on a nice wide forest track, which you can also charge there with your own charger. After enjoying some tasty local fare, the deck-chairs on the sun terrace are perfect for a short afternoon nap.

STARTING POINT
The path to the Sonnenalm is within walking distance of Seefeld’s ICE railway station and the bus terminalor you can take a bus and get off at the stop ‘Haltestelle Talstation Gschwandtkopflift’. There is plenty of parking available at the bottom lift station for anyone arriving by car. You can get up to the mountain restaurant on foot or by (e)-bike on the wide forest track, or you can choose the more comfortable option and take a ride, summer or winter, on the chair-lift up to the Sonnenalm.
