Höhlensteinhaus is beautifully located in a small depression at 1,259 m. Here you can enjoy the idyllic life on the alm and experience pure relaxation with a view of the surrounding mountains. The host himself will serve you simple but delicious meals. The pork knuckles and turkey are well-known, and everything is homemade, including the bread, butter, cheese, bacon etc. Enjoy your meal in the cosy warm guest lounge, where guests often also pick up the guitar and sing a little tune. Or also on the large terrace, surrounded by the fragrance of Alpine flowers and the sound of cowbells. After a taste of homemade schnapps to finish off it's time to head back through thick forests and past beautifully concealed chapels on well-signposted and easy trails. Accessibility: from Langkampfen approx. 2.5 hours, from Thiersee (Gasthof Schneeberg) approx. 1.5 hours
