Description

Since 1949, the Lotten Lake has been owned by the Kluckner family. The charming Lottenseehütte was built by Grandpa Josef in 1968 and has been a popular year-round destination for pleasure hikers, gourmets, (E-)bikers, and cross-country skiers right by the periodic Lotten Lake. The cozy hut accommodates 60-80 people and can also be booked for private celebrations. There is a stamp point, charging options for e-bikes (please bring your own charger), and during the warm summer months, it is even possible to camp by the lake upon request. The Lottenseehütte is easily accessible from Seefeld and Leutasch via family-friendly hiking and biking trails and offers traditionally hearty Tyrolean cuisine and delightful refreshments in the rustic dining room or on the cozy sun terrace throughout all four seasons.

LOCATION & STARTING POINT
The picturesque little hut by Lotten Lake can be reached from the two villages of Seefeld and Mösern via family-friendly hiking and biking trails, which are also cleared and well accessible in winter. There are ample parking spaces available year-round for travelers by car, and during the winter months, beautiful cross-country ski trails wind through the snowy mountain landscape. E-bike battery charging available with your own cable.

YEAR-ROUND TOURS

  • Wildmoosalm and Lotten Lake. Year-round, leisurely circular hike from Möserer See to Wildmoosalm and on to Lottenseehütte. After a relaxing break, return to Mösern. Alternatively, you can also ascend Wildmoosalm and Lottensee from Seefeld – likewise year-round and leisurely.

  • Circular hike around Brunschkopf. On 13 picturesque kilometers through the meadows and forests around Brunschkopf, this impressive gourmet round visits several huts and, with a bit of luck, the two rare periodic natural phenomena, Wildmoos and Lotten Lake. A detour to Möserer See also rewards with a refreshing dip in one of the warmest swimming lakes in Tyrol.

WINTER TOURS

  • Cross-country skiing at Lotten Lake. During the deeply snow-covered winter months, a picturesque but demanding cross-country ski trail (C11) in classical and skating styles runs around the glittering Lotten Lake and through impressive winter landscapes. Direct connection to further trails available.

  • W1: Winter circular hike Mösern-Wildmoos. The idyllic winter hiking round leads over Mösern and Wildmoos, medium difficulty, through the deeply snow-covered forests around Brunschkopf. Along the way, you are rewarded with panoramic views over Seefeld and the surrounding mountain worlds.
