Arriving at the Kaiserlift Kufstein at Brentenjoch, a magnificent view opens up towards the Wilder Kaiser. Those who pay close attention can spot the Obere Steinbergalm at 1318 m from afar, located right at the foot of the Scheffauer. From the mountain station, you follow the forest road moderately downhill, following the signs, and reach the Obere Steinbergalm in about 1.5 hours. It lies on a beautiful plateau surrounded by lush alpine meadows. The hut can be accessed either via the Gamskogel circular trail or via the Kaindlhütte, immediately after the chapel on the left, following the direction of the signpost.
