The Schwarzrieshütte is located on a rise to the left amid an alpine area in the so-called Trockenbachtal. At an altitude of 970 m, the Schwarzrieshütte is directly on the Bavarian border and is considered the northernmost shelter in Tyrol. There are multiple ascent options from both the Austrian and Bavarian sides, making it suitable for family hikes as well as for the demanding mountain walker. Easy forest and alpine paths that are also stroller-friendly are available, alongside multi-hour hikes over the surrounding ridges. Two officially declared mountain biking routes pass directly by our hut. In nice weather, you can indulge on our terrace in front of and around the house with freshly baked cakes and coffee. We serve fresh products daily - naturally from selected partners in the region. For those who prefer something heartier, we recommend our hearty snacks - hay milk cheese, smoky bacon, and freshly baked bread taste especially good on the newly designed outdoor terrace. Various warm delicacies and changing daily dishes, such as wild stew (hunted and processed ourselves), round off our offerings. While adults indulge with a cool drink, a playground with a sandbox and swings for fun hours is available for our young guests within sight of their parents.
