Cross-country skiing trail A11 & A12 - Gießenbach | Barrier-free

Difficult barrier-free cross-country ski trail in Leutasch. 

Description

The approx. 7.2-kilometer-long, barrier-free usable section runs on parts of the cross-country trails A12 Scharnitz and A11 Bodenalm. In the direction of Scharnitz, the route is predominantly classified as easy (blue). The underpass corresponds to the intermediate (red) difficulty level; however, there is a suitable turning point before it. In the direction of Gießenbach, the section runs mostly flat until the crossing of the Gießenbach. The stream crossing itself is classified as difficult (black).

This is a daily freshly groomed trail. Nevertheless, icy and slippery spots may occur.

Trail character – Section towards Scharnitz:
This trail is a scenically attractive cross-country skiing trail in the Region Seefeld, which is particularly suitable for pleasure seekers and nature lovers. It begins at the sports facility at the entrance of Scharnitz and runs predominantly flat with only slight inclines towards the village center.  The loop is well-suited for beginners and everyone who wants to immerse themselves in nature in a relaxed way. Before the underpass (intermediate), there is a turning point.

Trail character – Section towards Gießenbach:
The first part of the section leads predominantly flat through the forest. The crossing of the Gießenbach is very steep and classified as difficult. Subsequently, the trail runs flat again across a sunny, open field.

Note: 
On the way back from the section towards Scharnitz to the parking lot, occasional snow-free spots may occur depending on the snow conditions.

Trail conditions can change throughout the day depending on the weather. Please note that icy sections or deep ruts may occur. Please adjust your skiing style accordingly.
