A wonderful opportunity to experience the ruggedly romantic character of Floite, a trough-shaped valley flanked by steep, rocky slopes.
Route No. 4014 starts at the Nature Park House in Ginzling, from where you branch off in a south-easterly direction into the Floitengrund Valley, otherwise known as the “Floite“ by locals. There is very little traffic in Floitengrund, which is completely closed to public transport.
Follow the asphalt road to Tristenbachalm 1200m , where you can stop for some welcome refreshments. From there, a pleasant gravel trail leads via Sulzalm (farm) to the Steinbockhütte 1380 m, where you also have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments. Continue via Böckachalm, deeper into the Floitengund Valley. The route culminates at the end of the valley at the base of a steep slope, where you are surrounded by breathtaking views of the Floitenkees Glacier and the majestic glacier giants. Take the same route back for your return journey
Tip: This is the ideal starting point for a hike to the Greizerhütte 2227 m.
