Once to the Kitzbüheler Horn. Or at least close to it. The destination of this challenging bike tour is 300 meters below. However, the impressive panorama of the Kitzbühel Alps and the Wilder Kaiser remains the same.
The easy MTB tour to the Harschbichl (1,604 m) starts in St. Johann in Tirol. Although the route runs through the ski area, there is still plenty to see: For example, a detour to the Eifersbach waterfall or a dip in the Angereralmsee lake is well worthwhile. If you don't want to go all the way up, simply stop off at the Angerer Alm and enjoy a Häferlkaffee and Kaiserschmarrn on the sun terrace or a good glass of wine in the evening.
About 3 km asphalted road (Hornweg) in the direction of Pointenhof, continue on shady forest road to the idyllic mountain lake Angereralmsee (1200 m middle station). Once you reach your destination at the top station of the Harschbichlbahn (1604 m), you will be rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view.
