Description

This beautiful circular tour takes you along the routes of two popular long-distance cycle paths, the Via Claudia Augusta cycle path and the Lech cycle path. The route guidance offers you the opportunity to get to know both cycle paths on short sections.

The starting point of the circular tour is at the parish church in Lechaschau, but you can also start at any point along the route! First you cross the Lech over the Lechaschauer Bridge and cycle through the Untergsteig in the direction of the Reuttener Untermarkt, where you come across the Via Claudia Augusta cycle path. At the tourist office you pass Via Claudia Augusta square with its fountain, chariot and the symbolic representation of the historic Roman road in the pavement. After a short stretch through lush meadows you will reach Pflach. The knee pass represents the first small challenge of the tour, but only a few meters in altitude have to be overcome and Pinswang awaits you at the end of the small pass.

After driving through the sunny town, you will reach the point at the historic Ulrichsbrücke where the two long-distance cycle paths meet. So you leave the Via Claudia Augusta cycle path and continue your journey on the Lech cycle path in a southerly direction. Soon you will reach Musau with its charming districts. In the "Roßschläg" you have the opportunity to stop off at the Bärenfalle inn and strengthen yourself.

The route continues through beautiful meadows and forests to Oberletzen and finally to Hinterbichl. The last section takes you directly along the Lech back to the starting point at the church in Lechaschau.
