An insider tip for bike-loving families? The Singletrail Höhenweg in Bergwang comes dangerously close. Bikers of all ages can take the cable car up to the Heiterwanger Hochalm in comfort. From there, it's a flowing and scenic ride back down into the valley - the view of the Zugspitze and Lechtal Alps is simply brilliant!
Popular panoramic trail with magnificent views of Bergwang, the Zugspitze massif and the Lechtal Alps: the single trail runs downhill through sparse forest and beautiful alpine meadows with a gentle gradient and no technical difficulties. The adapted hiking trail is marked as a shared trail and is consistently rated S1 and S2 on the single trail scale.
Traversing narrow in places, the challenging high-level trail initially winds along the steep slope through the forest. The trail is neither too steep nor too technical. After approx. 1/3 of the way, you reach an old return path and roll relaxed with a view of the surrounding mountains towards the Berwanger Speichersee reservoir.
