Description

Description:
Experience the Running and Nordic Walking Arena Tannheimer Tal

Whether breathless beginner or well-trained mountain athlete: Everyone who wants to get moving in the fresh air and explore the surrounding mountains on foot will find what they are looking for in the Tannheimer Tal. Active people of all levels, from hobby athletes to professionals, face a daily choice: The largest trail network in Tyrol offers 26 marked routes covering a total of 186 kilometers. Beginner loops are available as well as challenging mountain runs. To ensure that all guests know which route suits their fitness and requirements, a specially designed map and small signs provide information about the elevation profile, difficulty rating, and route length – the running and Nordic walking map.

Along meadows, over green alpine pastures, past sparkling mountain lakes... Walking and running in the Tannheimer Tal is not only the best training for the body but especially a balm for the soul. Starting points for all those eager to move are found in the six villages of Tannheim, Grän-Haldensee, Nesselwängle-Haller, Zöblen, Schattwald, and Jungholz. From here, walkers, Nordic walkers, and runners follow the signposts. They are easy to recognize: figures with poles. Furthermore, all routes, as well as ski slopes, are classified into categories black, red, and blue. This optimal labeling contributed, among other things, to this probably most beautiful high valley in Europe officially calling itself a "Running and Walking Competence Center" since 2005.

Directions:
From the parking lot in Schattwald heading west, turn right at the first opportunity and follow the village street to the church. Continue west here, before the Kappl district turn right and go up the ascending path. At Wiesler Berg keep heading east and at the upcoming junctions continue straight ahead to Zugspitzblick. After the descent over the spoil tip through Zöblen and at the west parking lot turn right heading west through the Fricken district to the church and then back to the starting point.Tip:
The view along the entire route is wonderfulSafety guidelines:
It should be noted that there is an increased risk of accidents and injuries in running and walking sports. Despite careful route planning, there is always a basic risk. Preparing for routes through endurance training, appropriate technical training and further education as well as personal caution reduces the risk of accidents and dangers.Equipment:
Personal equipment must be safe and functional and meet the respective technical standard. Everyone is recommended to inform themselves about the planned routes in specialist literature or locally. Complete equipment is absolutely recommended even for experienced people!Additional information:
