Enjoy beautiful flower meadows and a fascinating views during the ascent from Brand to the Kögele hut.
At the entrance of the small village Brand on the left is the Gasthof Bergblick located. Here is the start of the hiking path up to the Kögele Hütte. The path climbs slightly over several serpentines, briefly through a small forest. After about 20 minutes walking time you'll reach a sunny plateau. Follow the path over further serpentines to the next crossing. Hike straight ahead and follow the sign Kögele Hütte (if you turn right, you get to the Hönig mountain). It continues straight down the gently sloping meadow path along a small mountain stream to the Kögele Hütte.
