Perhaps it's a bit our own fault that the Seebensee is no longer an insider tip. Nevertheless, it is still one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Tyrol! Closely followed (not only in the ranking) by Drachensee.
Rewarding but challenging and well-frequented tour via the Seebensee to the Coburger Hütte. Steep forest path and partly rope-secured rocky path to the Seebensee, from there a second ascent with many serpentines to the Coburger Hütte at the Drachensee.
Steeply ascending forest path - access to the rope-insured rocky path (surefootedness and a head for heights required) - descent to Seebensee - continue via the serpentines to Coburgerhütte.
Return route Seebensee - forest path Seebenalm - Immensteig.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
● Stay on the marked hiking trails
● Keep your distance from grazing animals
● Observe the opening hours of the huts
● Alpine emergency call: 140
