Description

As a starting point for this tour, the Tagesparkplatz Zimmereben lot is ideal for you. Begin at the Gasthof Zillertal and head south on the paved road, briefly passing through a small industrial area (Kreuzlau district). After a short incline, the road turns into a hiking trail. Now follow hiking trail No. 2 towards Astegg, where you'll find the eponymous Gasthaus Astegg, 1.170 m. From Astegg, continue along the road through the Astegger Valley in a northeast direction, following trail No. 21. Once the road ends, trail No. 21 descends to Burgstall. Upon reaching the valley, keep to the right heading south on trail No. 12 and shortly after, you'll return to the starting point.
