Beautiful Loop with a Legendary Gorge the 'Teufelsgasse'
The hike starts at the parking lot in Weng/Kirchdorf. First, a wide forest path leads uphill before it leads into a narrow, rooted hiking trail. Follow the path to the Prostalm - a detour to the Prostkogel is recommended. First, hike back a bit and follow then the signs to "Teufelsgasse", the Devil's Lane. In the Teufelsgasse you can take various circular routes. There are Devil's Circle, Devil's Throne and the Devil's Pulpit to discover. Each point has its own charm. At the end of the Teufelsgasse, hike along the forest road down to Hinterberg. From here you first hike past the Heinzerbauer in the direction of Pfarralm/Feistötzalm. In just a few minutes you will reach an alpine pasture that resembles a plateau. The large alpine hut suggests that it was formerly used as a mountain farm. Along a narrow path you hike without much ascent through a beautiful forest before you reach the pasture area of the Feistötzalm. Now keep going down the valley and hike along a forest path via the Ebmahdalm back to your starting point in Weng.
