Equipment

Good equipment is essential for your hike. The following items should definitely be in your rucksack: - Food and drink - Functional clothing for rain, wind and cold - A change of clothes - Sun protection - First aid kit - Mobile phone with a full battery (Euro emergency number 112) - Hiking map or GPS - Hiking poles Nevertheless, the following applies: light luggage is also easier to carry, so you should not weigh down your rucksack with unnecessary ballast. In addition, your hiking equipment should of course also be adapted to your particular hiking tour.

Description

From the village car park in Gramais, you start off on a leisurely descent into the valley alongside the Roßkarbach stream.
Then follow the "Roßkarsee" signpost.
Your path is sometimes steep through scree fields, but is generally clearly visible. The landscape around you with its many waterfalls is already impressive and invites you to take your first break before the path becomes a little steeper up to the Roßkarsee lake.
Continue on the right-hand side of the lake towards the Heinzensprossen ridge, where things get a little more adventurous for you. Surefootedness is important on this section. You will be rewarded with a fantastic mountain panorama and can take another look back at the Roßkarsee before heading to the Schafkarsee at the junction before the Hirschleskopf. The Roßkarsee is surrounded by fantastic, jagged rocks.
