Mountain hikes Ranggenalm

A Scenic and Moderately Difficult Tour with Fantastic Views and an Alpine Feel.

Description

This hike starts at the Griesner Alm parking lot in Kaiserbachtal. Follow the toll road along Kaiserbach brook in the direction Fischbachalm. After the mountain pine oil distillery hike up a narrow path to Vordere Ranggenalm, which is set amid spectacular nature with a beautiful flora that thrives in the poor soil that is common here. The tour continues a little longer to Hintere Ranggenalm. The views of the mighty northern walls of the Wilder Kaiser are spectacular on this hike. Peaks like Fleischbank, Predigtstuhl or Totenkirchl are names well known in the mountaineering and climbing community, since climbing history has been written on their walls and faces. Follow a narrow path down to Griesner Alm.
