Equipment

Good equipment is essential for your hike. The following items should definitely be in your rucksack: - Food and drink - Functional clothing for rain, wind and cold - A change of clothes - Sun protection - First aid kit - Mobile phone with a full battery (Euro emergency number 112) - Hiking map or GPS - Hiking poles Nevertheless, the following applies: light luggage is also easier to carry, so you should not weigh down your rucksack with unnecessary ballast. In addition, your hiking equipment should of course also be adapted to your particular hiking tour.

Description

From Steeg village square, follow the Lechweg towards Warth as far as the church. After the bridge that crosses the Kaiserer Bach stream, follow the tarmac road for another 150 metres, then turn left onto the forest road.
Follow this road until signposts lead you down to the suspension bridge. We cross the gorge at a lofty height. After the bridge, the trail bends upwards to the portal of the avalanche gallery, now through the gallery and the hamlet of Kienberg.
After leaving the hamlet, just before the rock tunnel, a signpost on the right shows us the footpath to Steeg. We now walk down a narrow path through the forest to the "Schönblick" viewing point.
Here you have a marvellous view over the village.
