The Path of Perspectives
The hike starts at the Seegrube, which you can reach either with the Nordkettenbahn cable car or on foot. This is where the Perspective Trail starts, which was specially designed by Snøhetta, the renowned architecture firm, for the Innsbruck Nordkettenbahnen. The 2.8-kilometre hiking trail takes you through an impressive landscape with a difference in altitude of 142 metres.
The path is easy to walk and always invites you to take short breaks, as you will find steps, benches and platforms made of larch wood and weathered steel at various points. These not only offer comfortable seating, but also a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and the Inn Valley. Particularly interesting: you can read philosophical quotes at the stations along the way, making the hike a contemplative and inspiring experience.
The Perspectives Trail leads you to the outer point, where you turn round and hike back to the fork in the trail. From there, you can take the circular hiking trail that leads you back to the Seegrube. The trail can be walked in both directions and a new, fascinating panorama awaits you on every stretch.
Thanks to the combination of architecture, nature and philosophy, this trail is not just a hike, but also a journey to new perspectives - both literally and figuratively.
