From Juns via the Grieralm and the idyllic Grierersee to the Höllensteinhütte – a varied circular hike with stunning views and traditional mountain huts along the way!

At the beginning of the village Juns in the direction of Hintertux turn left just before the Tuxbach bridge. Carry on along the cart track (no. 24), past the Ludwigshof (house no. 527) ascending slightly until reaching the Grieralm.
After a short ascent past the Grierersee lake and over the Tappeneck on trail no. 20 through the mountain forest, descend with some steeper sections to the Höllensteinhütte/Loschbodenalm.
After the Höllensteinhütte, the old hiking trail branches off to the left from forest path no. 28 through the forest and leads back to Tux-Juns.
TIP: Detour to the Tettensjoch - trail no. 20 leads uphill to the right at the junction of trail no. 20/28 via ‘Am Flach’ and Kreuzjoch to the Tettensjoch; route length 3.3 km, 560 vertical metres uphill, 1 h 45 min walking time for the ascent
